About Us

Cheshire County Youth Soccer Club has been serving the greater Keene community for over 30 years. The club was started by Rick Scott. Rick has an extensive coaching resume that covers a span of 40 years. Programs Rick has coached include Keene High School Boys Varsity Soccer and the Keene State Men's Soccer Team. Rick has also coached at the club level as he created Cheshire United Soccer Club in 1995. Rick Scott gain nunerous accolades as a soccer player and coach. Rick was inducted in to the New Hampshire Soccer Coach Hall in 2019 and he was inducted into the Keene State Hall of Fame in 2023. 

Matt Caron joined Rick in managing CCYSC in 2008. Matt took over the club in 2022. He is currently the Associate Head Coach for the Keene State Men's Soccer Team and has been a part of the coaching staff since 2008. Matt is an alumni of the Keene State Men's Soccer Program, class of 2006. Since compelting graduate school in 2007, he has been a teacher at Monadnock Regional Middle High School. Matt's past coaching experince includes being the Head Coach for the Monadnock Regional High School Girls' Varstiy Soccer Team in 2007, Head Goalkeeper Coach for NH ODP from 2010-2016, as well as holding Coaching and Director Roles at the Keene State Owl Soccer Camps for over 20 years.
